Growing your very own fruit and vegetables is a lot easier than you think. With the right tools, tips and compost you will be on your way to having a vegetable patch. There is something so satisfying when using your home grown fruit and vegetables for all of your cooking needs.
Our first tip for new growers is to start small. Pick one or two vegetables, pick a small patch of your garden and give the plants room to grow and time to enjoy the soil. Remember to only plant what you plan to eat. Don’t go overboard on your first tomato plant.
Stick to trees, fruit and vegetables that are easy to maintain. For example fruit bushes like raspberries, blackberries and gooseberries require little maintenance and in summertime you will have plenty of delicious fruit.
Keep all plants moist and hydrated. Watering your plants regularly is key for growth.
